About Ryan
Ryan is a 13-year-old student in Year 6 and the Junior School Strings Captain at St Peter’s College. He began learning piano at the age of five and is currently studying under Matthew Binion. In 2022 Ryan completed his Grade 8 piano exam with High Distinction and is now preparing for his AMusA exam. Alongside piano, he is taking music theory lessons with Monika Laczofy OAM and enjoys playing both violin and percussion. He is also a member of Sinfonia in the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. Beyond music, Ryan enjoys playing badminton, swimming, and folding origami.
About Lucas
Lucas Truong, 14, an accomplished musician, studies piano under Yee Lee Jin and violin with Jennifer Newman. He recently completed his AMusA in Piano with Distinction. A regular performer since the age of 4, Lucas plays as soloist, in orchestra and chamber groups. He has participated and won numerous competitions and awards at regional and international levels, most recently the Grace Barbara Turner Award for Excellence in Performance in the Piano Division by the Adelaide Eisteddfod and several AMEB Prizes over the years. Lucas performs at various events such as weddings, funerals, church services, gala balls, musical productions and open inspections.
