ABOUT HENRY
Henry Say studies cello with Edith Salzmann at the University of Adelaide. His former teacher and colleague Josephine Vains describes him as “a most unusual and talented cellist with unerring musical conviction across a range of stylistic idioms.” Formerly from Melbourne, Henry also studied at the University of Melbourne as a consistently high achieving student. He performed his first concerto at age 15 with the Melbourne String Ensemble and won an encouragement award in the Melbourne Recital Centre Bach Competition in 2017. In 2018, he was a finalist in the Preston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition and appeared on “The Talent” 3MBS radio show in 2019.
