ABOUT HAOWEI


Haowei Yang has performed as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician throughout Australia. Formally starting music journey with piano at the age of seven, Haowei shown great enthusiasm through persistent efforts and outstanding achievements, under the tutelage of Konstantin Shamray and previously Stefan Ammer, Gil Sullivan and Karen Davis. Haowei has received First Class Honours forclassical performance in the Elder Conservatorium and is currently studying with Luke Dollman and Konstantin Shamray for his Master of Philosophy, while aiming to continue to PhD in the future.

Haowei has performed at many events across Adelaide, including at the PianoLab with Recitals Australia, at locations such as North Adelaide Baroque Hall, Flinders Street Baptist Church, Government Houseand Elder Hall.

Most recently, he joined the incredible New World Players chamber ensemble and returned from the sold-out shows across Australia led by acclaimed conductor Eric Roth. Haowei Yang is also a part of the chamber ensemble, Apricus with Paula Custodio (flute) and Bridget McCullough (viola) who are working on a recording project for newly commissioned works. Haowei will also be performing Ravel’s Left-Hand Concerto with the Elder Conservatorium Orchestra in September of 2024.
