ABOUT JOEY
Joey Yan is a Year 11 student at St Peter’s College studying the piano and pipe organ under his Music Scholarship. Under the tutelage of Irina Lioubimova and Monika Laczofy OAM (outside school), Joey has attained the AMEB AMusA in piano in 2022 and is currently working towards his LMusA. Joey has been awarded many prizes in piano competitions including 2nd place in this year’s Adelaide Eisteddfod in the 17 years and over Solo Piano Recital section. In addition to classical piano, Joey also enjoys other piano genres, including Jazz, Joey is currently the pianist of his school’s division 1 Big Band.
