About Jonathon
Jonathan Wong is 12 years old and studies piano with Monika Laczofy OAM. Jonathan achieved his piano AMEB L.Mus.A Diploma in 2023. Jonathan has won numerous first prizes and awards in Adelaide and international piano competitions. In 2021 and 2022 Jonathan was awarded the “Ethel Cooper Scholarship” for his piano study at Elder Conservatorium of Music. Jonathan generously supports the general community performing 45-minute recitals at retirement homes. Jonathan also learns violin, flute and voice and attained his violin AMEB Eighth Grade when he was only ten years old. He loves music and wishes to become a professional musician in the future.
About Ying Ying
Yingying Shu is currently in Year 11 at Marryatville High School studying as a Special interest music student. She began studying violin in when she was 10 and obtained her Certificate of Violin in 2023 under the tutelage of Lester Wong. She is currently working towards her AMusA. Yingying also plays piano, having completed her AMusA in 2021 and LMusA for piano in 2023. Additionally, she has been a member of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra for the past three years and enjoys participating in ensembles and choirs at school.
About Jamie
Jamie Cock studied at Elder Conservatorium with Noreen Stokes and Stefan Ammer before pursuing further study at the Martinu Academy in Prague and the Musikhochschule Freiburg, Germany. Winner of the Geoffrey Parsons Award and the Mendelssohn Competition in Berlin, he has presented concerts in Australia, New Zealand, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy and the US. Based in Adelaide, he is a sought-after accompanist, teacher, instrumental and vocal coach. He has performed with the Adelaide and Sydney Symphony Orchestras, in the Elder Hall Lunch Hour and Perspectives series, Adelaide Festival, Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, on ABC Classic FM and Sunday Live and in collaborations with (among others) the State Opera of South Australia, The Firm, Brink Theatre and the State Theatre Company. He enjoys eating, sleeping, languages, watching good tennis and playing bad tennis.
