ABOUT Yuyao
Yuyao (Wesley) Wan started learning classical guitar in 2019 under Caleb Lavery-Brook at the Open Music Academy (OMA), Adelaide University and will commence undergraduate studies at Adelaide University’s Elder Conservatorium in 2026 under Dr Oliver Fartach-Naini. In 2025, Yuyao received a Merit Scholarship from the OMA. In the same year, he was named a finalist in the Altamira Guitar Competition hosted by the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, as one of the six finalists nationwide and was the only high-school-aged finalist, competing alongside university students and graduates. Yuyao has received masterclasses from Stephanie Jones, Georg Gulyás, and Connor Whyte.
