Tahlia Brennan is an emerging viola player and multi-instrumentalist in Adelaide studying in her 2nd year at the Elder Conservatorium. She has played in multiple ensembles in the conservatorium such as the Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Baroque Orchestra as well as numerous chamber groups, has played as both a student and alumni representative for the Adelaide Youth Orchestras and has performed as a soloist across Adelaide including playing a concerto with the Marryatville High School Baroque Orchestra in the Town Hall. She has learnt from many teachers including Keith Crellin and Ben Dollman and she is currently studying with Steven King.

Tahlia has been studying to be a specialist in Historical Performance, taking lessons and masterclasses within and outside of the university and attending the Elder Conservatorium Baroque Academy for the last 6 years. She has been learning to use historical instruments in solo repertoire on both violin and viola and she has founded a quartet practicing historical performance standards. She has also done academic research on the area, having taken courses at the university to focus on French baroque performance and history as well as researching performance practices for the Bach Cello Suites.
