Elder Hall, Adelaide
Vadim Gluzman and Daniel de Borah
Israeli violinist Vadim Gluzman is joined by Australian pianist Daniel de Borah in the superb acoustic of Elder Hall. This recital is sure to be one of our highlights for 2019.
Universally recognized among today’s top performing artists, Vadim Gluzman brings to life the glorious violinistic tradition of the 19th and 20th centuries and regularly appears with major orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Orchestre de Paris, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Israel Philharmonic, London Symphony, Royal Concertgebouw and many others.
Daniel de Borah, since his prize-winning appearances at the 2004 Sydney International Piano Competition, has become one of Australia’s foremost musicians, consistently praised for the grace, finesse and imaginative intelligence of his performances.
The program features Lera Auerbach’s ‘par.ti.ta’ for solo violin, which was written for Vadim. Other works include J. S. Bach – Robert Schumann Partita No. 2 for violin and piano, Arvo Pärt ‘Spiegel im Spiegel’ for violin and piano and Beethoven Sonata in A Major, Op. 47 ‘Kreutzer’.
